Kickoff 2026: Elite Training and Competition at a Football Academy in Spain

This 2026, Move Forward with an Elite Football Academy

It’s shaping up to be an eventful year at MESA, as we look to build on the incredible progress we made last year.

From the moment our players arrived in Spain, they entered an elite pro soccer academy that challenged them to improve not only as players, but as individuals, and they rose to the occasion.

Our recent success at the Madrid Winter Cup serves as a testament to our team’s hard work and determination: our U16 and U19 teams reached the semifinals of the Gold Phase, while our U17 team, competing in the U19 Silver Phase, finished as champions of their respective division.

Seeing former MESA players take their first steps into professional football was especially rewarding. In 2025, our alumnus Arshaun made his professional debut with CP Villarrobledo, while current and former players have gone on to represent MESA at prestigious stages, including the US NCAA, the U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers, and the U17 FIFA World Cup. Several MESA players were also called up to their respective national teams, underscoring how playing football in Spain prepared them for top-tier competition.

An Exciting 2026: What’s Next for MESA?

As we move forward in the year, there’s much to be excited about. Our upcoming friendlies against top teams in Spain will give our players firsthand experience of elite competition, the type of invaluable training we aim to provide here at MESA.

From April 2 to April 5, all MESA teams will compete at the Madrid Easter Cup, one of the most prestigious international youth tournaments held in the Spanish capital. The tournament brings together more than 200 academies and clubs from across Europe and beyond, including Valencia CF, Sporting CP, Aston Villa FC, and more.

For MESA players, this is more than a tournament, it’s a chance to represent the academy on an international stage, build resilience, and experience pressure that mirrors professional competition.

Beyond our matches, we carry on with our holistic approach, a fusion of intensive training, gym sessions, physiotherapy support, tactical and individual meetings, and mental conditioning. From developmental breakthroughs to unforgettable experiences, 2026 is all about growth, opportunity, and taking every player to the next level.

Beyond Madrid: A Competitive Journey to Zaragoza

Naturally, no experience at our elite Spanish football academy would be complete without opportunities for cultural immersion. Soon, MESA players will embark on a trip to Zaragoza, the beautiful capital of Spain’s Aragón region. There, we’ll explore the historic city and play in a friendly match against Racing Club Zaragoza, another opportunity to challenge our players while showcasing more of Spain's culture and beauty.

Racing Zaragoza sets a high standard of play, known for structured tactics and discipline. Facing an opponent of this caliber exposes our players to professional rhythms, physical demands, and tactical organization.

At Madrid Euro Soccer Academy, we continuously provide our squads with high-level competitive matches. These games give players exposure to real competition, tactical problem-solving, and match pressure.

Previously, we’ve competed against top youth sides like Athletic Bilbao and Atlético Madrid, as well as the professional side CP Villarrobledo. These experiences inspire players to raise intensity, speed of play, and spatial awareness. As one MESA player shared:

“Playing against Madrid’s best showed me how fast the game really is and motivated me to work even harder to reach that level.” – Ricardo

These matches act as a gauge, showing players where they stand and where they need to improve, while inspiring them to go beyond their limits and refine every aspect of their game.

These competitive matches are a vital part of our pathway, advancing player development and opening doors to the next level—be it national team opportunities, university competition, professional scouting, or advancement within the Spanish football pyramid.

The Standard Remains: Daily Work, Total Commitment

While new opportunities expand the horizon, the foundation remains unchanged. Madrid Euro Soccer Academy continues its comprehensive development approach, where every element is designed to push players to the next level, every single day.

We continue to welcome players through our short-term programs, which enable athletes the chance to experience elite Spanish football development. These programs enable players from around the world to train, compete, and grow at a top football academy in Spain.

Offered in flexible two-week, one-month, or three-month timeframes, these programs provide a focused and comprehensive pathway for players to improve while gaining international experience in a professional training environment. This is just the beginning of what we’re building for the next generation of players.

As we progress into 2026, we do so with ambition, determination, and an even stronger love for the beautiful game.
